There are certain things that bother some people more than others, but let’s just say that if screeching nails on a chalkboard was determined to be the worlds most annoying sound and I agreed, than improper form while performing any kind of exercise would be my second, hands down. I cannot walk into a gym unless its my own because of the “injuries waiting to happen” that I am exposed to. Maybe this is because I feel responsible for these people I’ve never met, or maybe its all those years of taking such pride in teaching and protecting anyone from avoidable injuries!
I literally have to put blinders on to get through these places or I wont be able to sleep at night. Hence the need for “PROPER FORM”. This is the opportunity to share my methods of training to educate and empower my people. Not only do I teach proper position and technique but why it’s necessary for those things. My goal here is to be the “little voice of safety” whispering in your ear every time you begin an exercise you’ll automatically assume Tall Proud Posture and continue in perfect form. – Nancy
